What If Everything You Know Is What Has Been Holding You Back From The Success You Deserve?

What do you think keeps you stuck where you are on your life journey?

Is it the stuff that you don’t yet know?

The things that you haven’t learned yet?

So many people get stuck on the things that they don’t know how to do and allow that to keep them from doing the things that they already know how to do.

A mentor of mine would always remind me…

“If you would only do what you already know what to do, things would be better.”

In fact, if there are things that you don’t know that you don’t know how to do, how can you do them anyway since you don’t know.

This is true about stuff that we are not skilled at and it holds people back big time in both their business and their life.

It has certainly happened to me from time to time on this glorious journey.

Has it happened to you?

Well what if you are doing all the things that you know how to do and things are just not going the way that you expect them to?

What if you are not getting the results that you desire to have in your business and life?

What if there is another side to this thing about learning and doing.

There always is another side. Everything has at least 2 sides to it.

You can’t have one without the other.

So with that said…

What if the things that are keeping you stuck are not about learning something that you don’t know how to do at all?

What if it what is holding you back is what you already know and all you have to do is unlearn it and you will instantly breakthrough?

Now I know what you must be thinking… This is obvious. We have to get rid of old habits that no longer serve us.

I get it. But most people are focused on the next thing that will take them somewhere rather than looking at where they have been that has got them to the point they are at right now.

Here are 3 things that most people need to unlearn in order to unlock their success:

  1. Addiction to the Outcome…

    Most people are so stuck on the outcome that they desire to have that it totally blocks their awareness of possibilities that exist for them to achieve all that they desire in their life. This focus on outcomes is based on the goal setting paradigm that has flooded the business and personal growth space. What if instead of focusing on the outcomes that you allow yourself to keep your vision in tack, through away your goals, and create some targets that you can shoot at and if you miss, you simply choose new ones or shoot at it again. Drop your need to achieve the outcome in the way that you envision it to be and watch how you can move forward with more ease.

  2. Knowing all the Steps…

    All people who are stuck in their lives are focused on knowing every detail of what it is going to take to make it happen. The step by step plan that will get them there. What if this was holding them back? What if it was keeping you from even getting started in the first place. When you can see all of the steps in your mind of what it will take to get to a certain outcome, sometimes it tricks your mind into believing that it has already happened and you end up doing nothing, where in reality nothing has even been started. Through away your desire to know all the steps and just take the first one and the rest of the path will appear. You can choose at each step along the way which one to take.

  3. Success of Others…

    Seeing others having success at the same thing that we have in mind to do and be holds a lot of people back. In business it is all about the competition. I talked about what the real competition should be in your business in this post here. Rather than having it make you stuck, use the success of others to help you move forward by knowing it can be done. Don’t let others success and competition hold you back.

On the journey towards the life of your dreams and desires, there are both learning and unlearning that will lead to your success.

When it comes to using Facebook… Images MATTER! Using images and photos on Facebook is critical to attracting the attention of others. Messages presented in a visual way are much the most effective when utilizing a social media marketing channel like Facebook. There has never been a time where businesses can leverage that than now. Just the simple act of letting people tag, like, and share your photos can turn into huge exposure for your business.

4. How often should I post promotional content on my Facebook page?

Hint… No one likes to be sold too and everyone likes to be sold to. Get it? When we are considering posting promotional content on our Facebook page, we need to understand this idea. It all comes down to message to market match. If you know the message that your market wants to hear, then you never will be actually selling at them through your promotions, you will be marketing to them right where they are at. At the same time, always consider adding value in everything that you offer. Whether it is a blog post, video, audio… adding into the life of your customers and prospects through value is the key to your success when posting content on your Facebook page.

5. Is there any value to creating and using Facebook groups?

Yes, at the right time, for the right reason, and with the right audience of people. This helps to build the reputation of yourself and your business by creating an intimate setting for connecting with them. Facebook groups allow you to demonstrate your expertise in a specific area. As you build relationships with others in the same field, you can increase your position and gain brand recognition. Make sure you have the right people in the group to make this happen.

The Secret To Who’s Your Ideal Prospect?

If you have been in business for any length of time you most likely have been
asked the following question…

Who is your ideal prospect?

Whether you have heard it from a coach, mentor, or read it from a book or the latest
training course you just bought or webinar you atteneded, the core to any successful
business comes down to know the answer to this question.

Here is what comes up for most people.

1. Everyone, the product I sell is good for all people.

2. Ummmm… Women who want to loose some weight.

3. Someone who is in debt and wants to get out of it.

4. Anyone who wants to make an extra $500 a month while still doing what they are doing.

just to name a few.

Do they sound familiar to you?

Have you answered this question in this way before?

If so, not to worry. You are not alone out there.

But if you want to have a successful business and market your products
and services in a way that will attract the ideal prosepct in your life,
you will need to work a bit more at answering this critical question.

Here are three areas to focus on when attacking this question in your business.

1. What are the demographics of your prospect.

These are the typical statistics that you most people think of when starting
to seriously determine their ideal prospect. It is things like, their age,
gender, household income, marital status, etc. Grab a pen real quick and
write these things down about your ideal prospect.

2. What are the geographics of your prospect.

This is the information that relates to where your prospect is located.
Things in this category include, Country, State, Province, County, City,
Neighbourhood, Street, etc. It is the phsyical location of where your
prospect lives in the world. This information is particularly important
if the products and services that you sell have some restrictions in
certain countries or locations in the world. Again, grab your pen and
write these things down.

O.K. These are the typical things that people consider when thinking of their
ideal prosepect. Are you starting to paint a picture of who they might be?

Now onto the last piece of the puzzle. One that most people do not think about
and at the same time, most people do not teach about. Here it is…

3. What are the psychographics of your prospect.

This is the hardest part for most people to wrap there head around, but at
the same time, it is the most important part of the process in identifying
your ideal prospect. In this area you describe things like, what movies
do they watch, where do they shop, what foods to they eat, where to they
go when they eat out, what newspapers do they read, what online websites
do they visit, what kind of things do they search for on Google, and the list
goes on and one. Here you are digging into the details of how your ideal
prospect interacts with the world. Once you figure this out, then you will
know what to say to them when they show up. If you are speaking their language,
then they will know that you are the one that can help them with what they
are looking for. Grab your pen again and write down all of the psychographic
information that you can about your ideal prospect.

So there you have it. The foundation of what you need to identify your idea
prospect for your business.

But there is one more thing…

One Secret that I have found that comes from all of my clients that I have done
this exercise with. It is so simple that when you here it you will have a light
bulb go off in your head. It will allow you to effortlessly move into flow and
ahead with your business.

Are You A Buying Addict?

If you aren’t having success in your business, it’s probably because you’re a buying addict!

Is this the case for you, as it is for most people?

Most people have this addiction and it’s not just in the network marketing industry.

But I have to tell you, it’s not your fault.

Let me explain what I mean when I say “Buying Addict”

Most people have grown up and been raised to go to school, get a job, make money, and then buy stuff with the money you make (and the money you don’t make). These people are in the mode of ‘buying’ and as my mentor The GREAT Diane Hochman always says… “Spends all their time on the wrong side of the cash register.” This is the cycle of the average person. Work, make money, spend money, work some more, make money, spend money… and the cycle continues.

Now as I mentioned, there is another way.

They cycle can be broken.

Don’t get me wrong.

Buying things is not all bad.

In fact, most of the top people in the industry invest a lot in their education and training.

Yep, they buy a lot of stuff!

You could even say that they are buying addicts also.

But what they do that most of the other people who have not achieved success yet don’t is they are SELLING Addicts too!

This is the place that you need to get to in order to have success in your business.

You have to spend more time on the other side of the cash register selling more that you buy. It’s the only way that you can make a profit and have a successful business.

So what keeps most people back from being addicted to selling?

Here are a couple of things that I have noticed along my journey…

1. They have never been taught to be sellers. Remember the cycle I spoke about that turns people into buying addicts?

2. Our society and culture does not support having too many sellers. Just look around at how things are, you can see it.

So how can you move from being a buying addict to also being a selling addict too?

It really isn’t that difficult.

In fact, it doesn’t really need to involve selling at all.

Which Way Are You Running Your Business?

How Are You Running Your Business?

Forward or Backwards?

Let me explain…

When I was building my technology business, I had the blessing to meet with many successful entrepreneurs and senior executives of some very large companies. I would look at how they were building their business, each of them had a market and industry research group that would analyse the market and determine the current needs of their customers, how to attract additional customers, and the trends for future products and offerings. Once these were determined, they would position themselves in front of those customers and deliver exactly what they were looking for and presto, they buy what they are offering. Now they did not always get this right, but it is the approach they were taking that is more important than their success.

So lets take a look at how most people approach a home business opportunity. They pick a home business opportunity to get involved with because they are so excited about the products or services they are offering. And then, without any market research, planning, or understanding of how to communicate about their message, they start running around trying to convince everyone that what they found is the greatest thing in the world. I know that word of mouth advertising and recommendations are awesome, but for some reason it does not work for most people when they get started in their business. The result is that most of the people give up, quit, and tell everyone that this type of business doesn’t work.

So why the difference in the approach to business?

Whether planning to build a part time residual income or a multi-million dollar business, why do most people believe that the methods used by so many successful ‘traditional’ businesses is not for them?

Why do they build their business backwards?

Want to have the best success in your home business opportunity. Take a page out of the marketing books of successful companies that have gone before you. Build your business forward!

Here is how you do it…

1. Find a hungry buying audience.

2. Source the products and services that this hungry buying audience is looking for.

3. Put the products and services in front of them.

Then just sit back and watch the sales come in. It is really that simple.

And guess what? You don’t even need to be a sales person to do it!

How does it get any better than that?
