Hey Ed, I should know by now, that when I visit your blog, I need to be alert and wide awake. You always have thought provoking question. This time is no exception. In my case, my reputation is that everything comes easy to me. I have had quite a number of successes in my life. Others only see the end result (hence my reputation), but I know that it took a lot of hard work and dedication to make it happen (I am extremely grateful that it is in my character to do these things).

Hi Ed!, There definitely is a difference. I think it’s a question of whether you are externally or internally motivated too – whether I am focused internally on my character and my life is about being who I am and ought to be or whether my life is more superficially about my reputation and how others perceive and interact with me. Great video Edward! I like the Groundhog Day comparison. It helped put things in perspective. Yes, only the angels know your true character so we have to try to live our lives knowing that the angels are watching. So glad I stopped by for this powerful lesson.

Character vs reputation… that’s a really great subject to discuss. I really like how you explained it. Your character is within you and your reputation is outside of you. Now that’s clarity! Another great post. Reputation? I have had many. At different stages in my life my reputation has been different. I guess it is a question of growing as a person. Maturing. My character too has improved over time. I guess those people I knew long ago remember me as I was then and not as I was now. We get one opportunity to give an impression. We should take care with our communications and relationships to ensure we uplift, give acts of kindness and leave a person or a place with a good experience they can share with others.
